As the saying goes…Necessity is the mother of all invention.
And while we didn't invent the swag, the Kindy Swag concept was born out of necessity by a mother of two boys whom wanted an alternate, multi-purpose bedding solution for young children whilst at Kindergarten.
When faced with the prospect of sending her eldest son to kindy three days a week, Helen searched for a product that would meet both kindy requirements as well as her own needs without the need to have multiple sets of clothes, bulky loose sheets, blanket and pillow.
Helen wanted something that was comfortable, convenient to use, easy to carry and store. Most of all – her son had to enjoy sleeping in it.
Another key factor was it also had to be easy to wash and dry at home and suitable to use at kindy and for naps at Nan's house, or a friend's house.
Not being able to find such a product, Helen designed what we now know as the Kindy Swag!
